About Dr. Alison Shore
Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon
Her practice focuses on a variety of procedures, including breast reconstruction and augmentation, body contouring, and facial aesthetics. She provides skin care consultations, as well as reconstruction following skin cancer excision. Additionally, she performs reconstructive procedures for gender affirmation. She is a member of the Chicago medical community, with active staff positions at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center and Presence Saint Joseph Hospital, and an active member of the Illinois Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Dr. Shore is especially dedicated to working with breast cancer patients, understanding the importance of breast reconstruction following breast cancer treatments. She performs a variety of reconstructive techniques, including free flap reconstruction (using the patient’s own tissues, such as TRAM or DIEP flaps), implant-based reconstruction, and combination procedures (implant and flap).
Education & Experience
Dr. Shore completed the Zaccone Family Foundation Fellowship in Reconstructive Microsurgery at the University of Chicago Medical Center. During this time, she gained proficiency in multiple breast reconstructive procedures, including DIEP, SIEA, and thigh-based flaps, as well as oncoplastic and implant-based techniques. She also gained experience with reconstructive techniques of the head and neck, trunk, and extremities.
