Introduction
Voluma® is an injectable soft tissue implant that is used to treat signs of facial aging, and is FDA-approved to restore lost volume in the midface (cheekbone area). Like Restylane and JuveDerm, it is composed of a cross-linked hyaluronic acid; however, Voluma is denser, and is more suitable for volume restoration.
What To Expect
Similar to other fillers, Voluma® injections are customized for each patient, and the injections themselves take little time and minimal discomfort. A topical anesthetic is typically used, and there is no down time.
